Jan 15,2026

The gasket inside a bottle cap is made of various materials. Since different bottles contain different substances, the cap liner used in their caps also vary, each with its own characteristics and functions to prevent leakage. cap liner are primarily categorized into three types:

(1) PE Gasket:
The maximum heat resistance of PE cap liner is 80°C. They are relatively inexpensive and suitable for packaging products that are non-acidic or weakly acidic, such as baijiu (Chinese liquor), or products that do not require exposure to temperatures above 80°C.

(2) Silicone Gasket:
Silicone cap liner can withstand temperatures up to 550°C. They are suitable for products that are odorless, highly acidic, or alkaline, as well as for packaging requiring high-temperature resistance. They are commonly used by reagent companies to contain strongly corrosive substances.

(3) Butyl Gasket:
Butyl cap liner have a single-component composition and a maximum heat resistance of 121°C. They are designated by food and drug authorities as a material for pharmaceutical use. These cap liner are resistant to acid, alkali, and corrosion, and offer excellent chemical stability.

You can select the appropriate gasket based on your specific requirements.
